Collection of non-hazardous waste
This class includes: - collection of non-hazardous unsorted household and industrial waste from refuse containers, bins, refuse trucks and other means, when the waste contains various materials that can be recovered - collection of reusable materials - removal of waste from waste bins in public places - removal of waste resulting from the demolition of buildings and structures - collection and disposal of construction waste - collection and disposal of waste from textile factories - operation of facilities for the transport of non-hazardous waste. This class excludes: - collection of hazardous waste, see 38.12.0 - burial of non-hazardous waste, see 38.21 - operation of equipment for the sorting and processing of unsorted waste for the purpose of material recovery (e.g. paper, plastics, empty beverage containers, metals, etc.), see 38.32.0

Collection of hazardous waste
This class includes the collection of solid and non-solid waste containing explosive, oxidising, flammable, toxic, irritant, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious and other substances harmful to human health and the environment, as well as the identification, treatment, packaging and marking of the waste for the purpose of transportation: - collection of hazardous technical oils used in vehicles - collection of hazardous waste resulting from biological research - collection of radioactive waste - collection of used batteries and other hazardous waste - transportation services of hazardous waste. Excludes: - remediation and clean-up of contaminated structures, land, soil, groundwater, e.g. removal of slag, see 39.00

Treatment and disposal of hazardous waste
This class includes the disposal of other solid and non-solid wastes that are explosive, oxidising, flammable, toxic, irritant, noxious, carcinogenic, corrosive, containing infectious substances, and that are harmful to human health or the environment, by pre-treating them: - operation of hazardous waste treatment facilities - treatment and disposal of infected animals, both live and dead - incineration of hazardous waste - treatment of used goods (e.g. refrigerators) to destroy harmful substances - treatment, disposal or storage of spent radioactive nuclear fuel or other radioactive waste (radioactive waste that is subject to fission during transport from hospitals or other places) - sealing, other treatment and preparation for storage of spent nuclear fuel. Excludes: - reprocessing of nuclear fuel, see 20.13.1 - incineration of non-hazardous waste, see 38.21 - decontamination of soil, water, and toxic substances, see 39.00.0

This class includes the dismantling of various types of products, such as cars, boats, computers, televisions and other equipment, for the purpose of recovering materials. Excludes: - processing of used goods (e.g. refrigerators) for the purpose of destroying harmful substances, see 38.22.0 - dismantling of cars, boats, computers, televisions and other equipment for the purpose of obtaining reusable parts and reselling them, see division G

Waste sorting and processing to obtain secondary raw materials
This class includes the processing of metal and non-metal scrap and other waste, usually by mechanical and chemical means, to obtain secondary raw materials, as well as the separation and sorting of materials to be recovered from the total mass of waste (first stage) and the sorting of mixed materials to be recycled (second stage): - mechanical crushing of old cars, washing machines, bicycles and other metal scrap - mechanical cutting of large-sized metal products (e.g. railway carriages) - crushing of unusable vehicles, metal waste - mechanical processing, cutting and pressing of scrap to reduce volume - recovery of metals from photographic waste such as staples, photographic film and paper - recycling of rubber (e.g. used tyres) to obtain secondary raw materials - sorting and crushing of plastics to obtain secondary raw materials: pipes, for use in the production of flowerpots, plates and similar products - processing (cleaning, melting, salting) and granulating plastic and rubber waste - crushing, washing, sorting glass - crushing, cleaning, sorting of other residues and wastes for the purpose of obtaining secondary raw materials - processing of used edible oils and fats and converting them into secondary raw materials, for the production of feed for domestic and agricultural animals - processing of other wastes and residues from food, beverages, tobacco production for the purpose of obtaining secondary raw materials.
