Economic activity types

This class includes: - decontamination of contaminated soil, surface water and groundwater, carried out on-site or off-site, using mechanical, chemical or biological methods - decontamination of industrial plants or sites, including nuclear installations and sites - decontamination and treatment of accidentally contaminated surface water, by collection or treatment of the contamination with chemicals - cleaning up oil spills from the soil surface, surface water and groundwater, seas and oceans, including coastal waters - decontamination of lead, lead paint and other toxic substances - other specialized pollution control services. Excludes: - pest control in agriculture, see 01.61 - water treatment for water supply, see 36.00 - treatment and disposal of non-hazardous waste, see 38.21 - treatment and disposal of hazardous waste, see 38.22 - cleaning and watering of streets, squares, highways and similar areas, see 81.29
