This subclass includes:
- fishing for commercial purposes, in the ocean, in the open sea or in coastal waters
- fishing for shellfish and clams on the high seas
- whaling
- fishing for aquatic animals such as turtles, snakes, trepangs, sea urchins, etc.
- processing and preserving fish on fishing vessels
- collecting natural pearls, sponges, corals, algae and other marine bodies and materials.
