Manufacture of prepared meals
This class includes the manufacture of prepared meals (processed, seasoned, cooked). Such meals contain at least two ingredients, are processed and packaged for long-term storage (frozen, canned, vacuum-packed), usually labelled for trade.
This class includes:
- manufacture of prepared meals from meat, including poultry
- manufacture of prepared meals from fish, including fish with fried potatoes
- manufacture of prepared meals from vegetables
- manufacture of frozen or otherwise preserved ready-made pizzas
- manufacture of national and local dishes.
This class excludes:
- manufacture of single-ingredient or fresh food products, see division 10
- manufacture of perishable prepared foods, see 10.89
- retail sale of prepared foods in specialized stores, see 47.11, 47.29
- wholesale of prepared foods, see 46.38
- manufacture of foods for immediate consumption, e.g. in mass caterers, see 56.29
