This class includes: - production of precious metals from ore or scrap, refining and refining of malleable or non-mathematical precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, etc.) - manufacture of alloys of precious metals - manufacture of semi-finished products of precious metals - silver plating of base metals - gold plating of base metals and silver - plating of gold, silver or base metals with platinum or platinum group metals - manufacture of wire of precious metals by coiling - manufacture of thin sheets of precious metals. Excludes: - smelting of non-ferrous metals, see 24.53.0, 24.54.0 - manufacture of jewellery from precious metals, see 32.12 - manufacture of bank bullion and standardised ingots, see 24.41.2
