This class includes: - extraction of crude petroleum - extraction of bituminous shale and bituminous sandstone - extraction of crude petroleum from bituminous shale and sandstone - activities incidental to the extraction of crude petroleum, such as decanting, desalination, dehydration, stabilisation, etc. Excludes: - activities auxiliary to oil and natural gas extraction, see 09.10 - exploration for oil and gas, see 09.10 - manufacture of refined petroleum products, see 19.20 - separation of gases from liquid petroleum during petroleum distillation, see 19.20 - operation of pipelines, see 49.50
