This class includes the recording of original music and sound information on cassettes, compact discs and similar media, the publication, distribution and distribution of the recordings to wholesalers and retailers or to direct consumers. These services may be provided by the same unit that owns the music and sound information or by other units that have acquired the right to reproduce and distribute the original. This class also includes the activities of recording studios, booths, including the recording of radio programs (not live broadcasts) on tape, as well as music publishing activities: the acquisition and registration of copyright for musical groups, the organization, recording and distribution of television and radio recordings, film recordings and live performances by such groups. Music publishing activities may be carried out by the unit that owns the copyright or by units that administer the copyright on behalf of the unit that owns the copyright. This also includes the printed publication of musical works.

This class includes: - activities related to the dissemination of sound signals through radio broadcasting studios and other radio sound installations: broadcasting of radio programmes to a general audience, on specific channels or to subscribers - operation of radio networks: preparation and broadcasting of programmes via radio channels, satellite, cable networks - radio broadcasting via the Internet (Internet radio stations) - transmission of data in a radio broadcasting system. Excludes: - activities of recording radio programmes on tapes, see 59.20

The completed television programs may be broadcast by the producing economic unit or transferred to a third party for distribution via cable or satellite networks. Television programs may be general or specialized in nature, such as news, entertainment, education, youth programs. The production of video recordings and television programs delivered to subscribers is also classified in this class. This class includes the operation and maintenance of satellite communication facilities for the transmission of voice, data, text, sound, images, or the provision of access to such facilities, as well as the transmission of audio, video, and text programs received from television channels, television stations and networks, or radio networks, to the direct consumer via satellite systems. The activities of the units classified here do not include the process of creating programs. This class excludes: - resale of telecommunications services, see 61.90
